A town full of children got to run like the pros
In a town with a population of just shy of 2500, sometimes there’s a little creativity needed to provide some magic.
Protecht’s own Adam Renner and his wife, Brit had moved back to St.Maries, Idaho, with their son, Mack — a baseball fanatic, and a precocious little girl, Harvie.
The Renners have always been aware of the town’s hardworking families and wanted to find a way to provide live event opportunities for them to enjoy themselves and have a great memory to share.
Adam’s position at Protecht has instilled the value of always looking to protect the moments that matter.
“These are the things that are important to me. Helping the kids in my son’s baseball league get to a game, a perk of my company was easy. Actually getting to a game with children is the hard part and why I wanted to help make it happen. It’s what we do. Protect moments like these.”
— Adam Renner, Senior Vice President, Partnerships.
“At Protecht, we’re fortunate enough to receive a monthly live event employee benefit that allows us to go out and experience the world through live events. I wanted to use my benefit to help get 20 children and their families to a Spokane Indians game.”
“As a company, we believe in our team, our communities, and the impressive power that is shared experiences. This example is a beautiful snapshot of those coming together to intersect and create something wonderful. A company benefit being used with purpose by an employee as a contributing member in his community is something we are all proud to see.”
— Casey Callinsky, President of Protecht
Callinsky was quick to support Adam’s mission and decided to fund the remainder of the tickets.
From the looks of it, everyone had the time of their lives at the game! Especially Mack and the other children who made their way after the game to run along the same base paths as the professionals they had just watched play.
“Moving to a town where families think twice about spending a luxury $40 on basketball camp, I was really happy to do it knowing how hard parents work to be able to give their children moments like these”
